Department of Entomology Ph.D. students Akito Kawahara, Monica Pava-Ripoll, and Robert Smith are the 2009 recipients of the Gahan Fellowship. Gahan fellows are distinguished by excellence in research creativity and productivity. Graduate students Robert Smith, Entomology, and Gwen Shlichta, Behavior, Ecology, Evolution, and Systematics, also received Department of Entomology Teaching Achievement Awards.
