We are buzzing with excitement to share that, thanks to the communities incredible support, our first Insect Zoo Fundraising campaign was a massive success! We fluttered past our $5,000 goal with the initial 1:1 match and flew into the finish line at $11,630!
Here is a reminder of the impact the generous donations will make:
- In 2027, the Insect Zoo will bring FREE, hands-on STEM insect programming to 20 Title I schools across the DMV!
- The additional funds raised will get us closer to purchasing digital camera equipment to enhance the Zoo's online reach and onsite interactive experiences.
We appreciate everyone who donated and shared in the excitement during this campaign. All the enthusiasm is a wonderful testimony to the community's eagerness for and love of insect science!
